John F. Wilson, 86, of St Charles IL and formerly of Maywood IL passed away on Friday August 22, 2025. He was born on March 14, 1939 to his parents Walter and Lorraine Wilson. He was united in marriage to Marcy Wilson on April 4, 1964.
John was a loving husband, Dad and Papa. He worked many years for Kraft Foods and ended his career as a beloved Courier for Chicago Title Insurance Co.until he retired in 2007. He and Marcy loved to travel and made many trips to Minnesota, Florida, the East coast from Maine to Cape Cod as well as Mexico and their 25th anniversary trip to Hawaii spending time on 3 different islands. He relished his time as a Volunteer Fireman in Geneva when they lived there and had many stories he shared with family.
In his younger years he loved coaching his son's hockey team and his daughter's softball team. Did that for years. Then became a cheerleader for his grandkids' sports teams. He loved gardening and riding "Big Red" (his riding mower) around the yard either cutting grass or just getting him out to the pool.
He said his goal in life was to make people laugh and he surely did. He is now in Heaven with his daughter Vicki and probably making people laugh. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife Marcy, his two children Jeffrey Wilson and Michelle (Steve) Wojciechowski; his grandchildren Annabelle and Eliza Wilson, Madeline and Aidan Wojciechowski; and his brother David Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Victoria Wilson; and his sister Elizabeth and brother Robert Wilson.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025 at St Patrick Catholic Church on Crane Rd; 6N491 Crane Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175, followed by a burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva IL.
