I have great childhood memories of John & Bob having grown up on the 400 block of South Seventh Avenue. John was 6 years older than me but he and Bob let me play basketball with them and were like older brothers. I never knew either after those days but thanks to both for making us little kids on the block feel included.
I´m sorry for your loss and hope the entire reaches of the Wintermute family find peace.

I have such wonderful memories of being at Palisades with the wintermute family as a kid.
Johnny´s mom Betty would sit on the beach with us and knit, Johnny would run up and down the dunes behind the cottages, staying fit for football season. At our 25th LT reunion, I was lucky to dance with the handsome high school boy I always had a crush on and share memories of his mom and dad. I am thankful to have such sweet memories of him!
Love to you, Bobby and Cindy, and I´m so sorry for your loss of your brother.

I´ve known `Johnny´ since 2nd grade, also @ Cossitt school. He was everything anyone says. Friendly, kind & fun to be with. My Dad announced the Little League games where Johnny´s team, coached by his dad, played. The Wintermute family contributed so much to LaGrange, and Johnny was just a heck of a great guy.
God bless & peace to his family.
