John Albert Woznick

John Albert Woznick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, Troy Michigan at the age of 86.
He was born on April 8, 1938 in Harrison Michigan to Constance (Ruchala) Woznick & Stanley Woznick. He attended Harrison High School, where he played offense and defense varsity football for 4 years and graduated in 1956. Shortly after graduation he moved south to Detroit, Michigan where he began his career in the Auto Industry. He worked for Capital Reproduction Engineering, followed by Ford Motor Company and finished out his career at Auto Chem Craft of Oak Park Michigan.
He met the Love of his life in 1956, Opal Marie Henson; they were married shortly thereafter. They lived for a short period of time in Detroit, then moved to Hazel Park and finally settled in Royal Oak in 1962 for the remainder of their married life. John & Marie came to know Jesus on the same Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church where they became members and grew in the knowledge of their Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. John was a 3rd grade Sunday school teacher for years.
He was lucky enough to find love a 2nd time and married Beverly (Brown) Woznick in December of 2015. They shared their lives & love for 9 years.
John's favorite pass times were hunting and organic gardening. He loved being in nature, and nothing was better to eat for dinner than a fresh venison steak, covered in onions and mushrooms.
John is survived by his current wife Beverly (Brown) Woznick, 10 step-children, and his 2 daughters Deborah Caline Woznick of Rochester Hills Michigan and Pamela Jennifer Bever (John Bever) of Buffalo Grove Illinois. He had 3 grandchildren Brittany DiNardo of Montana, Ashley Clark of Hoffman Estates Illinois, and Julia Bever of Los Angeles California. John also had 2 great grandchild Eden Clark & Liam Clark of Hoffman Estates Illinois. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Opal Marie (Henson) Woznick (d.2008), his parents Constance & Stanley Woznick, his brother Arthur Woznick, his 3 sisters Barbara (Woznick) Reid, Delores(Woznick) Purcell & Constance (Woznick ) Cradit.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 9:30am-11:00am at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Price Chapel) 3725 Rochester Rd. Troy, MI 48083.
Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
