Beverly Ann Woznick (née Ward), a resident of Rochester Hills, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 90. A daughter of Frederick and Viva Ward, she was born on April 27, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan. Beverly lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Beverly worked as a server in the Royal Oak area but found her greatest joy in being a homemaker, dedicating her life to raising and caring for her family. She was the heart of every gathering, the decision-maker, and the glue that held everyone together.
A woman of many passions, Beverly loved watching Detroit Tigers baseball, playing scratch-off lottery tickets gifted by her children, and tuning into her favorite game shows. She never missed a chance to celebrate her children's birthdays, always calling to sing "Happy Birthday" with enthusiasm. Her love for singing was ever-present-whether you wanted to hear it or not.
She took pride in her appearance, never leaving the house without her hair done and a full face of makeup. Her sense of humor stayed with her until the very end, bringing joy to those around her.
Beverly had a special place in her heart for Christmas, baking fruitcakes, banana nut bread, and cookies for her loved ones. She babysat all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories with each of them.
A devout Christian, Beverly was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hazel Park. She was kind, affectionate, and deeply loving toward everyone she met, never making an enemy in her lifetime. Outgoing and friendly, she had a way of making everyone feel special.
Beverly's warmth, love, and unwavering devotion to her family will be dearly missed, but her legacy of kindness and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Beloved wife of the late Wallace H. Brown and the late John A. Woznick. Loving mother of Susan Brown, Jeanine (the late William Brakefield) Ward, Bonnie (Eric) Rymal, Patricia (Michael Millman) Ward, Tammy (Kenneth) Ruszkiewicz, Rebecca (Mark) Dorchen, Douglas (Connie) Brown, David Brown, Donald Brown, Ronald (the late Renee) Brown, and Les Brown and stepmother of Deborah Woznick and Pamela (John) Bever. Cherished grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother to many. Dear sister of the late Douglas A. Ward, June P. Wold, and the late Janet V. Ward.
A visitation for Beverly will be held on Sunday, February 23, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 blks. E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, 48067.
