John Bernard Zimnoski, 66, of Knifley, KY passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Mattituck, NY on November 1, 1958, to the late John and Jeanette Sosnowski Zimnoski. He was also preceded in death by a sister Donna Bell.
Mr. Zimnoski was retired from the United States Coast Guard and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Survivors include two siblings Chris Zimnoski (Jean) of Strafford, NH and Joann Deakin (Stuart) of Tucson, AZ; a niece and two nephews Emily Zimnoski, Thomas Deakin, and Jon Paul Deakin and a brother-in-law Michael Bell of Spring Valley, AZ and his best friend, Mark Jones, Along with his wife, Leila Jones and his goddaughter, Shelby Jones.
The family honored Mr. Zimnoski's wish of cremation and there will be military honors held at 10am eastern time Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, KY.
