John Deuane Zmuda age 79. Died on January 28, 2024, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on December 8, 1944, in Park City, Utah to George and Ruby Zmuda. He married Janie Zmuda on November 18, 1983.
John was a lover of all sports! He would always have sports on the television. Golf, baseball, basketball, tennis, he even grew to like soccer while watching his grandkids play. He loved coaching his kids little league sports teams. He was a member of the local American Legion. He loved fishing. He loved reading. He was a collector of random items. He would fill containers full of golf balls, water bottle lids and the tabs off coke cans. John was proud of his service in the Army. He would get great compliments on his beard when he visited the VA hospital.
He is survived by wis wife, Janie Zmuda. His son John Zmuda from his previous marriage, Jordan (Mike) Vessey, James (Jennie) Zmuda, Jodi (Livio) Zmuda, Jade (Stevie) Zmuda, Jacob Zmuda and stepdaughter Jennifer (Brian) Jessop. He has 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Kay Oliver, his parents Geroge Zmuda and Ruby Henrion and his brother Robert Zmuda.
Viewing Service will be held on Saturday February 3, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Memorial Redwood Mortuary; 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
Interment will be held later at Memorial Redwood Cemetery
