TUPELO - Johnathain Wade Funderburk, 43, of Tupelo, MS passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center on Sunday, July 21, 2024 after a sudden illness. Johnathain was born on December 6, 1980 in Tupelo MS to Debra and Kenneth Funderburk. He attended Itawamba Community College and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of Cross Pointe Ministries where he was baptized in 2015. He worked as an independent construction contractor. Outside of work, he enjoyed drawing and was known for his artistic skills. He had an infectious laughter and a clever sense of humor that will be missed by his family and friends.
Johnathain is survived by his children: Jade McKnight (Mac), Anna Grace Rogers (Lane), Evan Funderburk, Wesley Brown, and Izabella Funderburk; his grandchildren: Mayla McKnight and Maze McKnight; his mother: Debra Ross (Charlotte); his siblings: Ruth Ann Funderburk, Brian Kramer (Christie), Ashley Funderburk (Brandon); his niece Aria Kramer; and his nephew: Shon Williams.
Johnathain is proceeded in death by his father Kenneth Funderburk, his maternal grandparents Martha and Allen Clayton, and his paternal grandparents Ruth and Charles Funderburk.
Visitation will be held at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 5 PM with services to follow at 6 PM. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.
