Johnie Caudill Obituary
He was born February 1, 1941, in Whitesburg, KY, the son of the late David and Lonza May Caudill.
He retired from Armco Steel Union Wire Rope.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ethel Loretta Layne Caudill; five brothers, James Harold Caudill, Earl Caudill, Riley Caudill, Robert "Bobby" Caudill and Ronald Caudill and one sister Betty Lou Caudill May.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Gabriel Caudill (Lori) of Parkersburg, WV; one daughter, Kathy Stanette Schnitzker (Bill Jr.) of Ashland, KY ; four grandchildren, Benjamin Aaron Caudill (Yayoi), Joseph Dee Caudill(Ashley), Eric Gabriel Caudill , Amanda Rene Hornsby (Ryan); one step grandson, Billy Schnitzker, three great grandchildren, Aya May Hornsby, Amelia Joyce Caudill and Matilda May Caudill and his precious pet, Jazzy.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday August 19, 2025, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME, CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL. Entombment will follow at the Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ashland Animal Rescue Fund, PO Box 2061, Ashland, KY 41105-2061.
