Johnnie Hawk

Johnnie W. Hawk, age 79, of Lima, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 6:46 a.m., at his home, where he was raised by his parents.
He was born October 18, 1946, in Lima, to Wallace and Geneva (Brenneman) Hawk who preceded him in death. On September 6, 2006, he married Rose Schumacher who survives.
Also surviving are children: Christie (Hank) Lafferty of Parish, FL, Laurie (Jeff) Demeule of Peabody, MA and Jennie (Scott) Metzler in France; stepchildren: Jessica Kahle and Amy Kahle both of Lima, and Kara (Jason) Newell of Harrod, and Grady Brown of Indianapolis, IN, eighteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Bobby (Joan) Hawk and Wallace Wally (Cheryl) Hawk, Jr.
Johnnie was a 1965 graduate of Bath High School, where he was on the football team as #70. He retired from the maintenance department at Westinghouse/Sundstrand. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and was a member of F.O.E. Aerie #370, Lima. He loved his wife, children and especially all his grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at Eastside Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Y.M.C.A. where he was a faithful attendee for many years.
