Johnnie Hudson Obituary

Johnnie Mae Hudson, born on November 4, 1944, in Blakely, Georgia, peacefully passed away on October 12, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales under the care of Vitas Hospice. She leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by her beloved family and friends.

Johnnie dedicated many years to Lowes as a sales associate, where she built relationships and provided excellent service. Her work ethic and warmth left a lasting impact on those around her.

Johnnie was a devoted mother to her daughter, Sharon Gibson McGuire, and a proud grandmother to her grandson, Logan and his wife Taylor. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, especially in moments shared with her cherished grandson and her little dog, Ruger, who brought her much comfort and companionship.

An avid fan of gospel music, Johnnie found solace in the timeless hymns and teachings of Jimmy Swaggart, which filled her home with melodies that uplifted her spirit.

In addition to her family, Johnnie is remembered as the daughter of John and Florrie Murkerson, who have preceded her in death.

A graveside service in honor of Johnnie Mae Hudson will be held on October 17, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, at Lake Wales Cemetery. This gathering invites all who knew her to pay their final respects and celebrate her remarkable life. At the families request, please wear bright colors to honor Johnnie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor can be sent to Crossed Paws Animal Rescue (https://crossedpawspetrescue.org/) or to H.A.R.T. in Hardee County (https://hartrescue.org/donate/).
