Johnny Martin Davis, 60, of Sanford passed away on February 12, 2023, at his home in Chatham County. A funeral service will be held Friday February 17, 2023, at 3pm at Life Springs Church in Sanford, NC.
Martin was born in Sanford, NC. he worked in multiple areas of the United States throughout his career in the electrical field before returning to settle in Chatham County. He was a self-taught electrical engineer and at the time of his death he was employed by Mussett Nicholas Associates in Raleigh, NC. Martin had a huge heart for his family and friends. He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Martin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Jane Carroll Davis; daughters Renee Davis of Bolivia and Jenna Davis of Tramway; stepsons Kelly Bryant of Graham, Joel Bryant (Erin) of Shelby, and Eric Bryant (Melissa) of Concord; grandchildren Gavin, Madison, Brianna, Ella, Sophie, Jayden, Mackenzie, Mabel, and Primrose; mother Virginia White of Carthage; father Gerald Davis of Leland; and siblings Jan Davis of Sanford, Scott White (Cristy) of Gibsonville, Jeanette Wood (Joe) of Cameron, and Randy White of Carthage.
He was preceded in death by his brother Steven White.
The family will receive friends starting at 2pm at Life Springs Church before the funeral.
