Johnny Ray Davis, 71, of Billings, Missouri, passed away on June 20, 2025, in Billings. Born on September 14, 1953, in Reeds Springs, Missouri, he graduated from Strafford High School, Strafford, Missouri.
Johnny was known for his hands-on spirit and love for all things mechanical. Whether it was tinkering with engines or fixing something around the house, he found joy in working with his hands and solving problems.
His passion extended beyond the garage-he had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and adventure. He loved riding horses and motorcycles, boating on the lake, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs during football season. Dining out and spending time with family and friends were among his favorite pastimes.
Johnny's life was enriched by the love of his wife, Elizabeth Ann Kaminski-Schlueter-Davis. He was a devoted father to Sara (Kelly) Fields and Doug Davis; a caring stepfather to Nate (Kelbi) Schlueter and Jacob (Janie) Schlueter; brother to Cheryl (Paul) Weatherford, son-in-law to Sandie Kaminski, and brother-in-law to Paul (Shelli) Kaminski. He also held dear the memory of his parents, Alma B. (Carsten) and Grover F. Davis, as well as his brother Tommy, father-in-law, Len Kaminski, sister-in-law, and Christina Kaminski.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Ella Edwards, Esther Dancey, Emmett Fields, Kyler (Rory) Allen, Kaden (Bryanna) Burlison, Michael (Hannah) Thornton, Keean Burlison, Jedidah Schlueter, Lydia Schlueter, Seanna Schlueter, and Jewell Schlueter; and great-grandchildren: Jacob, Tobias, and Lucille.
Johnny's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him. His enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures-riding along country roads or enjoying a day at the lake-left lasting memories for all who shared those moments with him.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire joy in everyday adventures.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 26, 2025, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd – DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory, Springfield, Missouri. Funeral service will follow. Johnny will be laid to rest at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Clever, Missouri.
