Johnny Henry Olsovsky Jr., age 69 of Manvel, Texas passed away peacefully Saturday, June 24, 2023 at a personal care home in Alvin, Texas. Johnny was born September 22, 1953 in Houston, Texas and was a resident of Manvel for the last 15 years formerly of Iowa Colony, Texas. He worked as a chemical operator for over 30 years for Monsanto at Chocolate Bayou and later Ascend. Johnny was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel and served in the Knights of Columbus as a 4th degree Knight. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Henry Olsovsky Sr.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Karen Olsovsky; mother, Pauline Olsovsky; sisters, Dianna Greak and husband Oscar, Sheila Hageman, Debbie Olsovsky, Cindy Pendergrast and husband Michael, Beverly James and husband Albin, Laura Provada and husband Paul; brothers, Robert Olsovsky and wife Carol, Jeff Olsovsky; step children, Melissa Greven, Nathan Greven and wife Shannon, Christopher Greven and wife Tina; step grandchildren, Cadence Greven, Riley Greven, Brennan Greven and Taylor Greven; along with numerous extended family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, July 10, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at South Park (Resurrection) Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
