Johnny Wayne Tye of Eldon, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home July 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents Sheila Carroll and Johnny Tye.

Johnny was born on March 3, 1971. He became a highly respected master mechanic and racecar driver. His passions were racing and fishing. Johnny had a personality that was larger than life. He was fearlessly loyal to those he loved and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Anybody that he considered a friend, had a friend until the end.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Terri (Eldon, MO), a beloved son Logan Tye of Columbia, MO, 3 daughters Chrissy and Lyndsie Perkins of Williamsburg, KY and Brittany Logan of Corbin, KY. Grandchildren include Blake, Harley, Kara, Tyson, Ryder, Axle and Creed. A brother, Shannon Tye (Barbara) and a sister Angie Meadors (Derrick) along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per his wishes, Johnny will be laid to rest in Eldon, MO. Friends can send sympathy wishes in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Memorials in his name are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.

Terri, I am so beyond sorry sweetie. I have no words. I have prayers though, and I know God is big enough to help, where I can't. I pray for his comfort, peace and strength to be with you and for him to cover you with his loving arms.
