ASHLAND: Jon M. Howe 58, (Flying Eagle) passed away September 5, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born August 17, 1965 in Presque Isle, the son of Gary and Marie (Maxwell) Howe. Jon worked as a truck driver most of his life most recently for Katahdin Forest Products in Ashland. Jon enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, BBQs, watching NASCAR and jamming to his rock n roll. Jon loved his family and friends. He will be loved and missed by the many that knew him. He is survived by his three children; Jamie Howe of Presque Isle, Mark Howe of Ashland, and Meghan (Howe) Swancey of Georgia, and one bonus child; Amanda (Miller) Williams of Georgia, step Mom Gloria Goodwin of Mapleton, his siblings; Jay Howe of Easton, Leon Howe and Steve Howe of Connecticut, Brian Howe of Fort Fairfield, step sister Nicole Black of Caribou, and half -sister Betsy (Howe) Carson of Presque Isle, his grandchildren; Kelsey, Kolton, Harper, Gunnar, Madelynn, Brinley, and Annalise, bonus grandchildren; Presley, Emersyn, and Caisen, many nieces,nephews, and several special friends. Jon was pre-deceased by both his parents, and a brother Scott Howe of Texas. Relatives and friends may call 10AM Saturday September 16 at Bowers Funeral Home 238 Main Street Presque Isle where a memorial service will be held at 11AM with Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Online condolences may be shared at www.bowersfuneral.com
