Jon Vincent Krebsbach, 42, Meriden, Kansas, beloved husband and father, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024.
Jon was born February 18, 1982, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of James and Catherine Hawes Krebsbach. He grew up in Hastings, graduated from St. Cecelia High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. On June 3, 2006, Jon and Rachel Kathleen Hunninghake were united in marriage at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Topeka. The couple met while students at Benedictine and where Jon accepted the position of Director of Transfer Enrollment; a job which he held until the position was eliminated.
Proud of his Irish roots, Jon spent a semester nurturing them while studying in Ireland. He enjoyed playing golf and visited the origin of the game, St. Andrews, Scotland. As their family grew Jon spent less time with golf to allow as much time as possible with his family.
Jon was an active member of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 534.
His love for his family was unparalleled, no conditions.
Jon saw the good in everyone and spread God's love wherever he went.
Grateful to have shared his life are his beloved family, his wife, Rachel Kathleen Krebsbach; their children, Sophia Josephine, Lucy Miriam, Zelie Therese, Caroline Anne, Maura Grace, Kiera Abigail and Evan Jospeh; his parents, Jim and Cathy Krebsbach; his sisters, Katie Wemhoff (Keith) and Kelli Hirsch (Geoff); nieces and nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom Jon loved dearly and they loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norbert "Nub" and Eva Krebsbach and Jim and Anita Hawes.
The Knights of Columbus will lead the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 2014 NW 46th St, Topeka KS 66618. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 534, for the benefit of the Krebsbach family, and sent in care of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church or Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
