We mourn the passing of Jon Martin Noteboom, 86 of Mesa, AZ, who died on February 23, 2025. Jon was born in Champaign, IL. on March 30, 1938 to Harold and Justine Noteboom. Jon was predeceased by parents Harold and Justine Noteboom; sister Linda, and brother Richard. He is survived by sisters – Karen Murray, Patricia Brumelle, Susan Miller and Sandra Turnbull. By children – Jon Noteboom Jr., Kristy Pfeiffer, Peter Noteboom and Carrie Noteboom. By grandchildren – Bryant, Erin, Tiffany, Stephen, and Charlie, as well as 5 great grandchildren.
Jon graduated from high school in Greeley, Colorado and from college in Mankato Minnesota State University. He married Doris Jones on September 7, 1958 in Fayetteville, N.C, and was married for seven years. On February 4, 1967, he married Grace Kleven in Augusta, GA. Jon and Grace recently observed their 58th wedding anniversary. Jon served honorably in the U.S. army and was proud to be a Vietnam veteran. He worked as an air traffic controller and later at the U.S. Department of Labor.
Jon enjoyed fishing in the Colorado mountains and in later years was an avid pool player. He is remembered by many for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was very generous to people in need and the causes he believed in.
Jon and grace retired to Mesa, Arizona which has been home for 11 years.
Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. If desired, charitable donations may be made in Jon's memory to Wounded Warriors or a charity of their choice.

Such a special, caring, and responsible man. Jon was the Patriarch of our Noteboom family... and represented us well. We loved him, and will miss his smile and sense of humor. He will be remembered with great fondness... and for a life well-lived.
