James Noteboom Obituary
Jesus Christ on May 20, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Noteboom, in December 2019. They were married in January 1957.
He is survived by his children, Terry and Brenda Noteboom, Mark and Koleen Noteboom, Robert Noteboom, and Joan Smith; 19 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
James worked as an ironworker most of his life. He was a pilot and owned his own plane, a Cesena 182. James became a farmer in Hastings, which he bought in 1967, moving here from Des Plaines, Illinois, where he raised his children. He had a great devotion to our Lord's Blessed Mother and said his rosary every day for the last 35 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway; Hastings, MI 49058.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 314 E Main St, Middleville, MI 49333. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hastings, Michigan A luncheon will follow at 7772 E. State Rd., Nashville (the estate of Mark Noteboom). Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
