Our beloved son, Jon Charles Workman and child of God, left this Earth to be present with Jesus Christ our Lord on Sunday, January 12th at 8:30 a.m. He was 54.
Jon was born on August 18, 1970 in Topeka, Kansas to Dan and Carolyn Workman. They survive. He is also survived by the light of his life, his daughter, Falan and her mother, Angi Heller Workman and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.
Jon graduated from Seaman High School in 1988 and attended Washburn University. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for Thirty years. He was a longtime member of USW Local 307.
Jon loved sports of all kinds, especially softball and he played with his Dad on various fast pitch teams. He also played slow pitch softball, bowling and golf with his friends.
He was a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church where he had many wonderful friends. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Our thanks to Dr. Hashmi and Heather who were great friends to Jon and his family during his illness.
John 16:22: “Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice and no one will take away your joy.” We love you Jon and will see you in Heaven.
