Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Jon was one of the nicest persons I ever met, if ever a place in heaven was reserved, one is for Jon. Jon and I go back some 16 years, we used to car pool, we used to play volleyball, we used to bet on the Michigan-Ohio games. Sadly, we kind of lost touch, mostly because of me with my family, career, etc… over the last couple of years I saw less and less of Jon and for that I am truly sorry, sad and feel I lost out on the opportunely to have a truly great person in my life. But when we did run into each other he was always happy, even when he was sicker than sick he was smiling and wishing the best for me and my family. Jon, you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and keep you, please put in a good word for me… I will need it.
I got Michigan by a touchdown this year, no helping Ohio.

I was graduated from Luther Northwestern Theologica Seminary in 1994. Jon was a kind and considerate man who was generous with his time and managed the business office with integrity. Whenever I saw Jon he had a smile on his face. To put it simply, he was a really nice man who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
I pray that Jon's family will find peace and comfort in the hope of the resurrection knowing that you will see Jon again one day. May God bless you and walk with you always.

I started at Luther Northwestern Seminary about 15 years ago, and worked for Jon, worked with Jon, really, in the Business Office at the seminary. He was one of the best people I've ever known. He was gracious and kind in the way he lived his life and always willing to help when he could. He always had time for his student workers; he was a great boss and modeled integrity of person for all of us. I loved Jon, and I will miss him, very much. See you at the resurrection, Jon, and that won't be a moment too soon.
