Jonathan P. Blair, a life-long resident of Twinsburg, Ohio, passed away on March 6, 2024, following a battle with lung cancer. Jon was a twin; his twin brother being still born at birth.
The oldest of four remaining siblings, Jon grew up on the family farm and attended Twinsburg schools, graduating in 1972. He was a leader in his class, was very involved in student government and was elected Student Council President his senior year. He was very charismatic, a natural salesman, and had a lifelong interest in politics. Jon always showed a deep interest in others, he had a great sense of humor and loved sharing stories with friends. A huge fan of the Indians/Guardians, Browns and Cavs, Jon was always up for a discussion of the most recent games and liked to talk about players from the past.
Following high-school Jon worked at a bank, briefly attended Ohio State University, and then entered a career in sales. He worked for L.M. Berry & Co. selling ads in the Yellow Pages (this was prior to the internet). His work took him to Oregon and Washington for a few years, providing many adventures. Jon eventually returned to Twinsburg and became an executive recruiter and built a house on the family farm.
Jon was the son of the late Robert and Jean Blair, and beloved brother of Chip (Amy), Becky and Tim and uncle of Eric McGarvey, Blair Birenbaum, the late Ian Blair, and Emily Metcalf (Jess) and great-uncle of Austin, Cole, and Eli Metcalf.
Jon touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Per his request, he will have no service.
