We agreed on almost nothing when it came to politics but he was still a great friend. Both of us were always the first ones in the office in the morning and I always enjoyed our chats before everyone else came arrived. So much fun and good times that I will remember for the rest of my life.

I will definitely miss him dearly.

As one of the many people who owed much of my career path to Jon's guidance, the news of his passing hit me harder than I expected. I miss his gentle proddings whenever I our one of our other teammates missed something urgent and our deep conversations out in the break room on dogs, lawn mowing and tech.

I owe so much to Jon and am grateful that I had the honor of working with him for so long.

Mr. Bogan was a great mentor to me and a great friend that never did anything halfway. He was such an important part of the team and all of us that worked closely with him are going to miss the banter and technical expertise he seemed to have for almost every subject. People with the level of ethics, knowledge, and willingness to teach that Jon had are rare and he will always have my respect. I feel lucky to have worked with him for these last few years.

He was a true friend that will be missed. He brought sense of humor to the office that everyone enjoyed. I am sure nobody in the office can forget the thermostat wars we had. Or the Idea to create "Sparky". Or the outburst in the morning about the NOC. These were fun times!

I have learned so much working with Jon.
I am grateful I knew him.

I worked with Jon at Web.com. He was one of the most talented, smart and fun people to work along side of. always up for a good debate be it about Linux or other stuff. I will always remember our fun chats and time together. I will miss his smirks, random texts and messages, a true patriot and compassionate human. Thanks Jon for everything you brought to our lives and until we meet again rest easy, to Lori my deepest condolences.

Mr. Bogan and I were office-mates for over a decade and in that time our little room became a work-family. He always had a great story about his time in the military and working at the casino. We enjoyed many long talks about our fur-children and many really spirited debates about pretty much everything else. He especially loved dropping the bomb that started a roomwide spirited debate and walking away with a huge smile and a laugh as he sat back and watched. Everyone's favorite day was when he brought us all Lori's delicious homemade fudge, a kind tradition he continued even after moving to FL. He went out of his way to recognize talent in others and do what he could to make sure it got visibility. Many people at Network Solutions/Web/Newfold owe their career path to his advocacy. In true Mr. Bogan fashion, he thought he'd be able to slip away to FL without any emotional fanfare so our compromise was a small, red-flannel not optional sendoff. I will always remember his kindness, his laugh, his work ethic, and his dedication to our country and animal rescue and send my deepest condolences to Lori and everyone who loved him.

Goodbye good friend. We should retire lumberjack flannel shirts used as avatars in tools like teams, slack and flock as you pretty much owned that one for many years. I had already been missing your this-day-in-history comments in the daily meetings that we used to have, your good humor and your voice on the many hours we spent together on calls with many other people. You know I trusted you and respected you because I told you many times when you were with us. You know I admired your ability to mentor other people. You know our small monitoring team was lucky to have you because I repeated that fact at every evaluation time. I got lucky to have the opportunity to bring you then. Your Ruby, Python and Perl are gems that will continue to shine for years to come probably after many of us are gone. You know I thought it was a little insane that you ran Centreon on your own servers at home but you wouldn't have it any other way. Back when I had my dog Yogy we used to talk about pets. I hope that wherever you are, you are in good company with some dogs and cats that went before you

I worked with Jon for many years at Network Solutions / Web.com / Newfold Digital. Even though we were simply coworkers, I had profound respect for Jon, his diligence, expertise and always-kind demeanor, and I am heartbroken at his loss. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
