BROKAW, Jonathan – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Inurnment will take place in Davison Cemetery following the Memorial Service. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM – 2 PM and 4 – 7 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Allen Funeral Home.
Jonathan was born in Goodrich on March 21, 1942, son of the late Francis and Nina (Meyers) Brokaw. He enjoyed growing up on the family farm. Jonathan attended Ferris State University before enlisting with the United States National Guard. He worked and retired from the Chevy V8 plant after 37 years of service. Jon was a proud member of the UAW. He was a Mopar enthusiast, enjoyed motorcycles and belonged to the NRA. In his spare time, he enjoyed bird watching, collecting, going to auctions, and watching sports especially Detroit sports.
Jonathan is survived by his four sons, Kirby Brokaw, Gunner (Toni) Brokaw, Justin Brokaw, Jessie (Courtney) Brokaw; one daughter, Josie Worden; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Bill Brokaw; one sister Christine (Dennis) Hollenbeck; many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jonathan was preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen Scholar.
