Jonathan was born in Tampa, Fl to Helen Geis Dawson and Paul David Dawson III. He graduated from Jesuit Tampa in 2021, then went on to University of Tennessee in Knoxville to earn his degree in Supply Chain Management, joined Beta Theta Pi and set to graduate May of 2025.
Jonathan loved boating, fishing, golfing, and spending his time with family and friends. One of Johnny's favorite ways to spend a Saturday was passionately cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers.
Remaining to cherish Jonathan's memory are his mother, Helen, father, David, brother, Michael, sisters, Kristen and Cara, Cara's husband Grey Garber, grandparents Paul and Ann Dawson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held 6-8pm Thursday May 1, 2025 at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O Lakes Blvd Land O Lakes,fl 34639. There will be a 30 minute viewing at 12:30 Friday May 2,2025 followed by a mass in his honor at 1:00pm at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church (9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647),
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to honor Jonathan and his love of sports to Concussyion Legacy Foundation, 361 Newbury St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02115 or www.concussionfoundation.org/give

Helen and family: My heart has been so heavy for all of you the past several days. I know it´s going to be mind-boggling to comprehend the extent of Jonathan´s loss to the family and his vast network of friends who are like family. I am so proud of and grateful for your FAITH. I pray it sees everyone through this tragedy. Jonathan has left a mark on so many of us...without even knowing him personally...and near and far! GOD BLESS THE DAWSONS!
