Jonathan "Jon" Evans, 72, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born September 26, 1952, in Paris, Arkansas.
He had a passion for cooking, golfing, admiring muscle cars, and relaxing on the beach. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of the Razorbacks, particularly their baseball team. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his wife on the porch.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeptha and Hope Evans, and his brother, Joseph Ilderim Evans.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Jon is survived by his wife, Anna Evans of the home; sons, Matthew Evans of Fort Smith, Andrew Evans of Booneville, and Clint Mainer (Kendra) of Ozark; daughter, Christie Whitson (Alan) of Charleston; brothers, Jeptha Evans (Celeste) of Brooklyn, New York and Charles Evans (Kathleen) of Greenwich, Connecticut; sisters, Mary Hope Davis of Clarksville and Rebecca Hoecker (Jim) of Middleburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Kaylee Whitson, Jake Mainer, Jamison Evans, Ryan Mainer, and Jack Evans; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; friends of the golf course; and many other friends.
A Celebration of Life for Jon will be held at a later date.
