Just CremationsJonathan Hobbins of Jacksonville, NC, Onslow County passed away peacefully on the evening of August 23, 2025, at Home surrounded by his family. He was 68 years old. Jonathan was born in Key West, Florida on October 21, 1956 to Donald and Lou Hobbins.
He spent his childhood in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the eldest child. He moved to North Carolina with his family in 1976. He is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Louise Hobbins.
Jonathan leaves behind his son, Andrew Jonathan Hobbins, of Kentucky, his sister, Rachel Ann Hobbins, his Parents, Donald and Lou Hobbins of Jacksonville, NC, and countless many other family members and friends.
Jonathan is remembered by close friends and family as being generous and kind to everyone he met, and loved baking cakes and desserts for his family and friends. He was a loyal Pittsburgh Steeler fan all his life and rarely missed watching a game on TV.
Jonathan found joy and hope in Jehovah God's Kingdom and looked forward to a future time when all sickness and death would be eliminated under Christ’s rulership--Revelation 21:4.
A memorial service to honor Jonathan’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 42 Old Hammock Rd, Swansboro, NC. 28584
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for all the prayers, cards, and visits at this difficult time.
