Jonathan “Jon” Wade Taylor passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 to join his Angel (daughter, Skyler Dawn Taylor) in Heaven. What a joyous time for them.
Jon was born October 17, 1980 in Beckley, WV to Gary Lee and Deeana L. Smith Taylor.
Jon loved being with his loving wife and precious son. He loved all of his dogs, Franklin, Tigger, and Scrounge: his parakeets, Lewis and Blueberry: his sugar glider, Penelope. Jon loved hunting, fishing, and anything that had to do with being outdoors. Jon read the Bible and had a great belief in the Lord. He enjoyed being with, talking to and working with his friends. Jon loved to help everyone in need.
He is preceded in death by his loving Angel daughter, Skyler Dawn Taylor; and grandparents, James Andrew Smith and Naomi Collins Smith and Shirley Radford Taylor and George Wayman Taylor.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife, April Dawn Taylor and son, Cole Wade Taylor of Fayetteville, WV.; father, Gary Lee Taylor and mother, Deeana L. Taylor of Fayetteville, WV.; brother, Gary Taylor and wife Jennifer Taylor of Fayetteville, WV.; 2 sisters, Monica Gerber and Husband Rodney Gerber of Ohio and Christal Pugh and husband Scott Pugh of Glen Jean, WV.; Father and Mother in law, Randall and Sharon Milam of Beckley, WV.; nephews, Andrew and Hunter Taylor of Fayetteville, WV.; nieces, Ashleigh and Morgan Gerber of Ohio and Taylor and Haylee Pugh of Glen Jean of Fayetteville, WV.; and several uncles and aunts.
Graveside service with burial to follow will be 1:00 PM on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with Pastor Ronnie Persinger officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at cemetery.
