Jonathan Eric Jones, known affectionately as Eric to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on October 28, 1967, Eric's life was one marked by kindness, intelligence, and an enduring curiosity that made him a truly interesting individual to all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his father. Eric's bond with his family was unwavering, and he cherished the moments spent with mother Sandi, his brother Christopher (Tina), and his several cousins. He also held a special place in his heart for his close friends, David and Mandy Garvey, Shane Willimon, Kendell, Gray, and Ginny Reinman, as well as his caring neighbors, Chris and Donna Harvey.
Professionally, Eric dedicated many years to the local movie theater, a job that allowed him to merge his love for film with his natural people skills.
Beyond his work, Eric was passionate about cooking and the art of experimenting with new recipes. His kitchen was a place of creativity and joy, and he delighted in the pleasure his culinary creations brought to others. Eric was also an avid lover of computers, embracing the ever-evolving world of technology with enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn.
Those who knew Eric will remember him as a kind soul, an intelligent mind, and an interesting conversationalist. He had the rare ability to touch lives in the simplest of ways, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
As we bid farewell to Jonathan Eric Jones, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and laughter he shared with us all.
