Rebecca Pudik

Rebecca Lynn (Thar) Pudik, of Seneca, SC, formerly of Washington, passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 74.
She was born on November 1, 1951, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to Richard and Sarah Thar. On April 8, 1972, she married the love of her life, Mark Pudik, and together, they raised three wonderful sons who survive, Andrew, Adam, and Dane.
She is also survived by her mother, Sally Thar; her siblings, Carol Gano, Richard Thar, Paul Thar, and Adele Zieser; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard, and her siblings, Linda Walwer and Mathew Thar.
She graduated in 1969 from Academy of Our Lady and earned her medical assistant certificate from ICC, before dedicating many years as an Administrative Assistant for Caterpillar Tractor Co., until her retirement. She also served as a Special Education Assistant for Washington Community High School, a role that she loved. Her most beloved job was that of wife and mother.
She was an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and very active in the Susan G. Komen Cancer run with her mom and sisters. A highlight of the Susan Coleman breast cancer walk was the year both Becky and her mom won first place in their respective age groups. She enjoyed her garden and loved to golf. She was a member of the Ladybird league at Pine Lakes Golf Club and the ladies' league at Fondulac Golf Course. She spent the last four years in Seneca, SC, but her heart always belonged to Washington.
Becky had a fun, often goofy personality. She never met a stranger and was especially blessed to have 50+ year friendships with a group of supportive, empowered women.
Her family will receive friends from 1-3:00pm Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A time of remembrance will follow.
