Haeleigh Brieann Grissom

Haeleigh Brieann Grissom, 21, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Washington, Illinois, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 in Fort Worth.
She was born in Peoria, on July 29, 2004 to Marshall and Sara (Bushong) Grissom.
Surviving are her parents, Marshall (Christine) Grissom, and Sara (Allen) McDonnell; three siblings, Brandon Grissom, Cailin Bunting, Amber Marks; aunts and uncles, Julie Nichols, Jennifer (Darrell) Netters, Kimberly (Jeff) Rohlwing, Nathan (Kara) Bushong; niece, Magnolia Grissom; grandparents, James (Marty) Bunting, Michael Bushong; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Marshal (Kay) Grissom and Kristy Bushong.
Haeleigh graduated from Morton High School in 2022. She had attended Illinois Central College. Having her CNA she was pursuing a Nursing career.
The annual Haeleigh B. Grissom Memorial Scholarship will be established with Illinois Central College for students pursuing a career in Nursing.
She was a beautiful soul known for the quiet ways she was there for others when they needed her and her ability to make others feel seen and valued. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially on family game nights.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Wednesday, November 12th at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, NAMI (National Association of Mental Illness) Tri-County Illinois and Trillium Place.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date when they're ready.
