Kenneth William "Ken" Todd

Kenneth William "Ken" Todd, 78, of Peoria, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 at CarleHealth Methodist in Peoria.
He was born March 21, 1947 in Peoria, IL to the late Kenneth and Ada (Baer) Todd. He married Vicki Bjork in East Peoria on February 8, 1970. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Troy (Becky) Todd, Kim Simmons; four grandchildren, Conner (Daisy) Simmons, Kyle Todd, Riley Simmons, Kelsey Todd; one great-granddaughter, Elowyn Simmons; two sisters, Gwen (John) Keach, Judy Harris; and his brother, Larry (Carolyn) Todd. He was preceded by one sister, Barb.
After serving the East Peoria community with dedication for 27 years as a police officer then went on as the police chief of Henry, IL until 2004, he retired to enjoy the things he loved most. An avid fisherman, he especially cherished time on the water with his son. He also loved golfing with his daughter and camping with family. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved wife, Vicki-his "angel" and "little woman." He was endlessly proud of his family, especially his four grandchildren, who brought him so much happiness. He also treasured the camaraderie of his fellow retired officers and their regular lunches together.
Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1 to 3 pm at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
