Jonathan Lee 72, of Bolivar, died Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Aultman Compassionate Care in Canton. Born March 26, 1951 in Dover, he was a son of the late Robert E. and Dorothy (Swank) Lee.
Jonathan was a 1969 graduate of Tusky Valley High School and a 1973 graduate of Rensselaer Poly Technical Institute. He retired in 2016 as a mechanical engineer at Republic Steel after 42 years. He was a member St. John United Church of Christ in Bolivar and was a member of the ROTC while in college. He was an active member of the Bolivar Sportsman's Club and the Bolivar Army/Navy Club. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, coaching youth sports and supporting his grandkids various activities.
He is survived by his wife, the former Peggy Banks along with his 3 children Nathan Lee, Carrie (Jason) Bandy and Eric Lee all of Bolivar; 8 grandchildren Austin, Abigail, Adelyn, Aiden, Stella, Barrett, Evelyn and Vada; a brother Robert E. (Min) Lee of Bolivar and a sister Jody (Dennis) Taylor of Greenville, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar with Pastor Don Perk officiating. Friends may call From 12:00 Noon until time of services at 2:00 PM. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Aultman Compassionate Care.To share a memory, please visit the funeral home's web site.
