A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, 2:00 PM at New Life Church, 7184 Club Dr. in Odessa. Arrangements are entrusted to American Heritage Cemetery Funeral Home Crematory in Midland.

My Dear Rakia,
I want you to know that my prayers will be with you. When we worked together together for Laredo ISD, it became very clear to me that your son meant the world to you. One of our past colleagues shared these awful news with me, and I could not believe it. Please know that I will be praying for you. Jonathan is already in heaven, and I know he will be watching out for you from there. The Lord will be with you in the following days, weeks and months. My thoughts will be with you as well.

Jonathan, thank you for being a friend to me. My heart is broken! We were just so young talking about life's goal, etc. Thank you for the gym pointers and telling me to stop being lazy and just get up and go to the gym! I will carry this in my heart everytime I go to the gym.
