Born in Moncks Corner, SC, he was a son of the late William James Perry, Sr. and Gladys Ferguson Perry.
Mr. Perry was a member of Church of the Holy Comforter, was formerly employed by and a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. He was also employed by Central Midlands Council of Governments and was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife of Sumter; a daughter, Anna Perry of South Korea; a son, Michael Perry of WVA; two brothers, Abraham Perry (Doshia) and William James Perry, Jr.; three sisters, Martha Dixon (Richard), Delores Perry and Mary Glover.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at Church of the Holy Comforter with The Rev. John Sosnowski officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

We were privileged to spend last Thanksgiving with Cathy's family and Joe's in- laws. While we know he wasn't feeling well, he made a gallant effort to be involved in all the "doings", and I know it lifted his spirits to feel surrounded by family love. We will remember him with love and his ability to face his overwhelming medical issues with grace and faith. John and Pat
