Jonathan D. Sanders, 42, of Indianapolis, peacefully passed away surrounded by loving family members on April 11, 2025. He was born October 30, 1982 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William J. Sanders Jr. and Karen (Hanna) Sanders. Jonathan worked as a box truck driver for The Expediting Company (TEC) based out of Plainfield. He was in the prime of his life enjoying every day and looking forward to marrying the love of his life, Jody Mier. He loved attending concerts, going to amusement parks to ride roller coasters and taking road trips. Jonathan also enjoyed ghost hunting for fun, had a love for hot rods like a 1980 trans am he used to own, and he was extremely proud to own one of his dream cars, a Dodge Challenger. He was an avid Colts fan, even when they weren’t playing their best. He loved his friends and family, of which he had many. Last but not least his favorite foods were good steaks, Reese’s cups and bacon, and bacon, and bacon!

He was proceeded in death by his father, William J. Sanders Jr.; brother, William J. Sanders III; grandmothers, Janet Cook and Marie Wayt, grandfathers, James Cook and Russel Woods. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home starting at 4:00 pm, where friends and family may visit from 2:00 pm until time of services. A meal will be provided at Thompson Road Baptist church for friends and family after services are finished.

Survivors include his fiancé Jody Mier; mother Karen (Hanna) Sanders; son, Caden Andrew Sanders; daughter, Alissa Sanders; brother, B.J. (Pamela) Sanders; nephew, Lane Sanders; niece, Aven (T.J. Bryant III) Bryant.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help aid funeral expenses.
