Iva Virginia Bridges

Mrs. Iva Virginia Bridges, age 86, of Silver Creek, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Jessup, Georgia on June 21, 1939, daughter of the late Otis Channell and the late Rosie Adalene Johnson Channell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Junior Bridges, by her son, Roger Bridges, and by four siblings, Otis Channell, Jimmy Channell, Linda Baker, and Ronnie Channell. Mrs. Bridges worked for several years at Bojangles and enjoyed playing BINGO.
Survivors include six children, Mildred Vanhorn, Janet Delgado, Pauline Adams, Donald Bridges, Sherrie Bridges, and Bryan Hancock; a sister, Bertie Howren; a brother, Ricky Channell; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 3:30pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will follow in Euharlee Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday from 2:30pm until the service time.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday at 3pm and include Active: Collin Bridges, Joseph Adams, Christopher Adams, Shawn Adams, Ray Pace and Bryan Hancock. Honorary: Neal Hancock and Scott Packle.
