Teresa “Tracey” Kaye Hamilton Bridges, 61, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer.
Tracey was born on November 27, 1963, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to Charles and Rachael Hamilton. As a military family, she and her siblings enjoyed exploring the state of Mississippi and making memories together. Tracey graduated from Brandon High School in 1981 and Delta State University in 1984 with a degree in computer programming. Tracey and her family faithfully attended Skyway Hills Baptist Church in Pearl. While she was a member there, she met and married the love of her life, Robert “Robbie” Bridges.
Robbie and Tracey together raised four children in Brandon where they spent their days on the ball fields, attending church activities, and taking trips to Disney, Pigeon Forge, and the beach. Tracey also spent over 30 years as the first grade Sunday school teacher at Crossgates Baptist Church, where she loved on sweet children and led many on their pathway to salvation. Tracey dedicated over 25 years to a career in computer programming with Southern Farm Bureau and made many memories with her work family. Once retired, she spent her time raising a family, helping Robbie run a successful business, and loving on her grandbabies, Sawyer and Swayze. She was the best Lolli to her two favorite little people!
Tracey is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert “Robbie” Bridges, daughter Amanda Bridges Burke (Thad), son Preston Shelby Bridges (Clancey), daughter McKinnley Addison Bridges, and son Tanner Grayson Bridges, grandson Sawyer Bridges Burke and granddaughter Swayze Blair Burke. She is also survived by her siblings, Charles “Chuck” Hamilton (Kenta), Katrina Castilaw (Mark), Karl “Brad” Hamilton (Kim), many nieces, nephews, dear friends and family members who will carry her memory in their hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rachael Hamilton.
Tracey’s celebration of life will be held at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi on Friday, October 31, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am-11:30am, with a service to follow immediately after. A private graveside service will be held for family at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, Mississippi.
