Jonathan "Jon Lonnie" White

Age 78, passed away on Tues. May 27, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife. Born on September 18, 1946 in Watertown, son of the late, Stephen J. and Frances A. Kousch White. Jon married his best friend and companion, Kathryn (Rounds) on May 27, 2006 in Hawaii. Together they shared 19 years of everlasting love. He had a strong faith in the Lord and was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church until their closing. Jon was a longtime, dedicated employee for Eastman Kodak for many years of faithful service until his retirement. Following his retirement, Jon went on to study Massage Therapy were he met Kathy. He enjoyed spending time on the water, fishing with his Watertown buddies Stan Bartlett and Ron "Lipper" Lamora and making crafts for the holidays. In addition to his cherished wife, Kathryn, Jon is survived by his loving children, Cheri (Russell) Purdie, with grandchildren, Hannah and Kate Purdie; Charlene (Brian) Ford, with grandchildren, Brittany and Alexander Mann; and Robert (Jennifer) White, with grandchildren, Jaden, Tierney and Creed White; s great-granddaughter, Everleigh; and the mother of his children Susan White. In addition, Jon will be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family friends, who affectionately called him "Naughty Jonny". Jon was predeceased by his four brothers Richard White, Robert White, Gerry White, Peter White. The family is grateful for all of the love and support that was given to Kathy and Jon during his health struggles. Karen Kole, Krystal Wickham, Stephanie Maslin, and Susan Barnstead have been a blessing. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway Elmira/Southport, NY 14904 on Wednesday, June 4th from 2 – 4, continuing with services at 4:15.
