Publish in a newspaper

Jonathon Scott Morgan of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, surrounded by his family and pastor at the age of 42. He was born September 4, 1983 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to J. Michael and Linda K. Morgan.

He attended WFHS in Wichita Falls, Texas, Pine Richland High School in Wexford, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Alabama. Jonathon received his BS in Business Administration from his beloved Auburn University and obtained his MBA from Ole Miss. As Practice Manager at Texas Vision, he demonstrated a genuine passion for caring for the employees and patients he encountered daily. Above all, Jonathon had a deep passion for Jesus that guided every aspect of his life. He loved staying active through exercise and was always eager to create new memories with those he cherished.

Jonathon was deeply involved in his church family at Celebration Church, including helping to feed and care for the homeless, participating in his men's group, volunteering for numerous community service projects, and praying with and for those in need.

Jonathon was an avid sports fan including all Auburn athletics as well as golf, basketball and any chance to get outside.
He is survived by his parents, his brother and sister-in-law Ben and Cassie Morgan, his niece Madeline, whom he loved dearly, and loyal companion, his dog Bear.

Visitation will be held at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown on Thursday, September 18th from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will take place on Friday, September 19th at Ramsey Funeral Home, beginning at 10 AM. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions are made to Celebration Church Serve Team as service was a passion of Jonathon.

Yesterday

Bill and Teresa Browning were neighbors down the street and around the corner when the Morgans lived in Wichita Falls, Texas. Ben was closer in age with our daughter, Julia, while Jonathan was much younger. Our hearts are saddened by his passing for all of you. May Gad wrap his loving arms around all of during the difficult time. May He provide you all with strength, comfort, and peace. Jonathan was taken too soon, but resides with Our Lord and Savior now. May he rest in peace.

I have known Jonathon's parents since I was 16 years of age. Linda, Mike and Mike's brother Eddie and I attended and graduated from Bridgeport High School, Bridgeport, WV. We kept in contact mostly through high school reunions and would enjoy one another's company on many of those occasions. Mike even shares a birthdate with my sister, Kim, September 25.

Linda and Mike were married May 31, 1975, and their love continued to flourish and grow with each and every year. One of their most proud moments was when each of their sons were born. Linda and Mike were involved in the support of Jonathon and Ben and would share each of their "steps in life" in their education, marriage, birth of their grandchild and their strong faith. Unfortunately, I did have the honor of meeting Jonathon, Ben, Cassie and Madeline, but enjoyed stories and photos through Linda and Mike.

Linda and two other high school girlfriends were planning a visit to Greenville, SC (my resident) in spring of 2026. I called Linda to discuss a few of the details, only to receive the shocking news of Jonathon. My heart is broken for the Morgan family. Jonathon was quite an exceptional young man. You all are in my prayers!
