Jordan Renee Cavatorta, 39, of Assumption, formerly of Edinburg, died at 1:39 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born Jordan Renee Lefever in Springfield, IL on January 26, 1986, to Jeff and Jackie Lefever. She earned her associate's degree at Springfield College in Illinois, where she made lifelong friends playing on the softball team. She married Joey Cavatorta III in a beautiful beach ceremony at Navarre Beach, FL on October 12, 2013. She was a member of Edinburg Christian Church.

Jordan was a talented and dedicated photographer who loved capturing others' most memorable moments. She was the best mom ever who loved cheering on her daughter, Jolie, at softball or volleyball games. Jordan loved being a pageant mom and participating in Jolie's beauty pageant events over the years- oh my, the dresses and parades!

Jordan loved the outdoors and especially being on or in the water. Any water. If she wasn't taking a ride on her brother's boat on the North Fork, she was floating with her mama and friends. And she took every chance she got to travel to Florida; Navarre Beach was one of her favorite spots in the world. Having sandy toes meant she was in her happy place. An avid music fan, she loved going to concerts. Jordan really enjoyed holiday meals and she was always the loudest laugh at the table on Thanksgiving.

Jordan wore many titles wonderfully: wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and more. But none of them mattered more than being a mother. Jolie was everything to both of her parents. Jordan's infectious smile, bright eyes, and bubbly personality will be forever missed by all that had the pleasure to know her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joey Cavatorta III; great-grandmother, Marietta Dean; grandparents Billy Dean, Rodger Lefever, and Eleanor and Lowell Cook; and mother-in-law, Verdie Cavatorta; aunt and uncle: Barbara and Tom Fabin; and her cousin Fate Echols.

She is survived by her daughter: Jolie Renee Cavatorta; her parents: Jeff and Jackie Lefever: brothers: Justin Lefever; Jake (Cassie) Lefever; brother-in-law: Gregg (Dawn) Crites and children, Chad (Ashley) Cobb and children; sister-in-law: Danielle Hall and children; grandmother: Donna Lefever; parents-in-law: Joseph (Sharon) Cavatorta II; aunts and uncles: Marjorie Hobbs; Billie Dean; Rodney (Pam) Lefever; Marla Dean; Michael (Gwen) Land: nephews: William, Alexander, Wyatt, Walker, and Weston Lefever; cousins; Rob (Tabitha) Fabin and children, Amy (Kyle) Augenstein and their children; Clayton Hobbs; Taryn Hobbs and Zaylin Echols; Peyten Lefever; step-cousins: Jason(Tara) Casner; lifelong good friends: Nichole Brown, Jenna Clayton, Tempi Millhoff; Doug Hughes and children; and many, many friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 on Monday, October 13 at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville; in memory of Jordan, the family asks that visitors wear a t-shirt sporting their favorite band or casual attire as they choose. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 11:00 at Edinburg Christian Church, Dan Spruell officiating, with graveside services to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a reception and lunch at Taylorville Moose Lodge.

Memorials in Jordan's honor for the benefit of Jolie may be graciously made at Taylorville Community Credit Union.
