Jorge Torres Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home on Mar. 10, 2026.
Jorge "George" Feliciano Torres, Jr., better known as "Chico", 67, passed peacefully after a brief illness, on Monday, March 9th in Millville.

.

George was born to Elsa Sanchez Martinez and Jorge Feliciano Torres, Sr. on April 1st, 1958, at Bridgeton Hospital. George graduated in 1978 from Cumberland Regional High School. He attended Cumberland County College where he obtained certificates that would help begin a long-standing career in steel work. Soon after, George served a long-time employment at Library Bureau Steel in Vineland where he was instrumental

in designing and creating sliding bookshelves. George then went on to open his own business, a restaurant called "George's Home Cooking" in Newport where he worked with his true passion for culinary arts. Within his passion for culinary arts, he is most known for his lemon delight cakes, Jewish apple cakes, seafood dishes (especially crabs), pies, cookies, and more! Using his lifelong hobby of mechanics and steel skills, he was able to design and craft go-carts and charcoal grills from nearly nothing.

George is a true lover of outdoors, where he spent most of his time fishing, gardening, camping, playing horseshoes, grilling, and crafting his next project in the garage. Alongside his love and dedication to his family, his love and generosity for the community is strong, making him a well-known member in any community he touched. From bartering with lemon cakes and crabs, sharing his go-carts with the kids of the

neighborhood, and developing friendships with his neighbors, he has touched many hearts. With him always, including his skills, careers and hobbies, stands his love for Rock music, dancing, generosity, charisma, sense of humor, love for his family and friends, and last, but not least, his true faith and an unbreakable love for God.

George is survived by six children, all of Cumberland County: Nicole Passarelli, George Torres III, Annalyse Torres and husband Brian Cooper, Adam Torres, Sean Torres, and Marcus Torres; four grandchildren, Nyasia Diaz, Anastaysia Cooper, Nataliya Cooper, and Jenavieve Cooper; a former wife of 21 years, Tyrese Gould-Jacinto of Bridgeton; 11 siblings, Edward Feliciano Torres and wife Maria of Vineland, John Feliciano Torres of Vineland, Reinaldo Feliciano Torres and wife Dawn of Connecticut, Pedro Acevedo of Nicaragua, Gloria Acevedo Weston of Florida, William Feliciano Morales and wife of Puerto Rico, Osvaldo Feliciano Morales of Florida, Jorge Luis Feliciano Morales of Florida, Arnaldo Feliciano Morales of Puerto Rico, Heriberto Feliciano Morales of Puerto Rico, and Rosaura Feliciano of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsa Martinez Sanchez in 2014 in Vineland, father Jorge Feliciano Torres, Sr. in 1970 in Vineland, and sister Ramona Feliciano Torres in 2010 in Puerto Rico.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10:00am until 11:30am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08361. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery in Vineland.
