Jose Carlos "Charlie" Calderon Soria
October 22, 1991 - May 18th 2024
Jose was born on October 22, 1991 in Apatzingn, Michoacan, Mexico. He lived there
shortly until he was brought over to the US by his beloved mother to live better lives. He
spent most of his childhood in South Central, Los Angeles. He and his family moved a
lot but would eventually settle in San Jacinto, CA.The family had gone through a lot of
hardship after losing our father, but Jose stepped in and watched over the family.
Jose was kind, compassionate, easy-going, but to others, he was someone people
looked up to. He was remembered as a hard-working individual. Jose started his career
working custodian for Paramount Unified School District. He would eventually land
elsewhere doing electrician work. Being a full-time electrician was something he always
aspired for. Jose had many names people would have called him during his lifetime:
Jose Carlos, Carlos, Charlie, Charlie Brown, Churumbel, Churro, and El Compa
Thanos.
Jose had a few cars, but his favorite of them all were his Corvettes. He loved racing his
car at the track and also working on his car. Another hobby of his was his passion for
bbq. He loved to grill and smoke all types of meats, at times he would experiment and
make his own creations or recipes all while enjoying a cold brew. The recipes will be
followed by his brothers who will continue to bbq for the same passion we all shared.
Cookouts will never be the same big bro, but we will honor your passion every single
time we have a cookout.
He was loved by many and had a great heart. He was an uncle to two nieces and one
nephew. Your niece Mina was your favorite, you showed the world as if she was your
own. We are glad you two both shared many great memories, she truly will miss her tio
"Charlie." You were the oldest brother of four and a son to a kind lovely mother. All of
your uncles and tias will miss you. You left behind a beautiful 7 month baby boy. You
and your son didnt have much time together, but he will live your legacy through you. I
know your baby boy made you the happiest and we are blessed to watch your little
creation follow his own path through the guidance of his mother and through your family
who loved you. Everyone will miss you deeply big bro, I hope you are now in a better
place and you can rest knowing we will take care of our newly added family member,
your baby boy Joseph.
Your presence, humor, and laughter will be missed. Fly high big bro.
