Jose Castorena, age 92, of Adrian, MI, passed away peacefully, May 13, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born November 18, 1932, in Cotulla, TX, the son of Felipe & Guadalupe (Vasquez) Castorena. Jose enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Wellwood; two sons, Danny Castorena and Adam Castorena; his stepchildren, Patsy S. (Jack) Metz, Adolio Q. (Linda) Navarro, Steve S. (San Juanita) Navarro, David L. (Kathryn) Navarro, Yvonne (Louis) Jacobo, Rani M. (Shawn) Force, and Michael R. Navarro; four sisters, Lupe Navarette, Alicia Cruz, Hope Garcia and Eduvina Duran; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Esther Castorena; two sons, Joe A. Castorena and Robert Perez; one sister, Evangelina Guzman; and two brothers, Jesse Castorena and Ruben Castorena. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Ogden Township Cemetery. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
