Jose Cortez Obituary

Jose Cortez was born May 16, 1948 in El Paso, Texas to the late Epifanio Cortez and Maria de Jesus Moreno. He had been a resident of Lindale for four years, formerly living in Quitman. He worked for Southwestern Bell/AT&T in cable installation and repair until he retired in 2006. He enjoyed fishing in his free time.
Jose passed away at the age of 76 on July 14, 2024 at his home.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sherry Cortez of Lindale; nine children, Gilbert Cortez, Maria Cortez, Jammie Cortez, Joseph Cortez, Maricia Cortez, Jenni Cortez, David Eppers, William Cook, and Jeymis Woods; sisters and brothers, Gloria, Catalina, Celia, Ruben, Epi, and Emma; and numerous grandchildren.
