Jose Flores Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - North on Dec. 22, 2025.
Jose Maria Flores, Sr., known affectionately to friends and family as Joe, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the blessed age of 90. Born on October 6, 1935, in Floresville, TX, Joe's life was a radiant beacon of hope and strength, exemplifying the values of love, wisdom, and faith. His departure, while deeply felt, is also a moment to celebrate a life extraordinarily well-lived.
Joe was a beacon of guidance and love to his beloved wife, Francisca A. Flores, and their adoring children: Maria D. Villarreal and her husband Joe, Jose M. Flores Jr. and his wife Gracie, and Victor M. Flores and his wife Patty. His legacy proliferated through his cherished grandchildren Stephanie Jordan (Zachary, husband), Monica Simoneaux (Matthew, husband), Jose M. Flores III, John Michael Flores, Victor L. Flores, Camilo Flores (Claire, wife), and Marcello Flores. The light of his life shone even brighter with the birth of his great-grandchildren: Avery Luna Jordan, Liliana Marie Simoneaux and Cameron Lee Jordan.
He was a revered brother to Alfonso Flores Jr. and Norma Guerra. The patriarch of the Flores family, Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Tome Flores Sr., his grandson John Michael Flores and his daughter Maria Dolores Villarreal, and now joins them in eternal peace.
Joe's journey through life was one marked by an unwavering commitment to service. His esteemed career in the military saw him rise to the rank of Superintendent Chief Master Sergeant in the US Air Force, a testament to his dedication and exceptional leadership. Joe's patriotism further shone brightly during his time with the US Navy and the US Marine Corps, where his contributions left a lasting impact. His associative service was not a mere role; it was a calling that Joe embraced with every fiber of his being.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Joe was a pillar in his community, channeling his passion into helping individuals navigate the world of real estate. His guidance was not just about finding a house; it was about finding a home, a sanctuary where one could grow roots and build dreams. He championed the belief that every person deserved a place to call their own, and he worked tirelessly to turn that belief into a reality for many.
In 1977, he founded Joe Flores Realtors, a real estate company that not only showcased his acumen and entrepreneurial spirit but also his desire to help individuals and families find their perfect homes. His company stood as a pillar in the community and remains a symbol of his commitment and passion for aiding others in building their dreams.
Joe's spirituality was the compass by which he navigated life, guiding him with an inner light that touched all who knew him. He lived by the words of Saint Francis of Assisi, "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." These words resonated with Joe, who believed in the power of faith and action to transcend life's challenges. His relationship with God was as natural as breathing, and it fueled his purpose and his service to others. Joe lived by the belief that with faith, all things are possible, and he encouraged others to embrace this truth in their own lives.
Jose Maria Flores, Sr.'s legacy endures in the hearts of his family, the company he built, and the service he rendered to his country. His life was a beacon of light that will continue to shine through the lives he touched. As we honor his memory, we acknowledge that his spirit remains with us, guiding us from the spiritual realm with the same love and wisdom he so generously shared in life.
