Jose Roberto Gomez

Jose Roberto Gomez, 54, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was born in Usulután, El Salvador on August 29, 1969 to the late Juan Arnoldo Rosales and Rosa Aminta Gomez, and was the husband of 29 years to Maria Vilma Nolasco Gomez of the home.

Jose was an auto body painter for over 25 years and was a self-made business owner and operator of Jose’s Auto Body and Paint Shop for 14 years. He was a lifelong Jeep enthusiast, Jose enjoyed painting cars, going on beach trips with his family and friends. But most of all Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

Survivors other than his wife, Maria Gomez, include his daughters, Jennifer Cristell Gomez, Katherine Diana Higgins and husband Robert Carter Higgins; granddaughters that he adored, Valentina Angelie Renderos Gomez and Adaline Elizabeth McKean Gomez and a grandson on the way, Robert Mateo McKean Gomez; his brothers, Carlos Rosales, Mario Eduardo Gomez Rosales; sisters, Maria Cecilia Solis, Francisca Eva Gomez and Abigail Gomez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Jose’s life will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Carlos Rosales with the inurnment to follow at the Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:45pm Wednesday prior to the service and other times at the home.
