We were so blessed to have enjoyed many Christmas afternoons with extended family at Jose and Janice's beautiful home in Woburn, MA. My Children will always remember this Christmas tradition surrounded by loving family, Jose's famous soup, and his warm smile. You will be missed Jose, but your zest for life had an impact on all of ours and we are truly blessed.
Our deepest condolences to Aunt Janice and all of Jose's family.

Oh Jose, how you are loved and missed. I miss your laugh and your sense of humor. As I was family that did not live nearby, after Jose would greet me with a big hug and "How you?" he would go on to say "You are my favorite because I never see you!"and we would laugh. This was our special inside joke. So many memories and all cherished, but none more than all the Christmas gatherings where everyone looked so forward gathering and to the wonderful food, but most especially Jose´s garbanzo bean soup!
I loved listening to Jose´s stories of family and growing up in Cuba and many about the meals they would have there. He started everyday reading the newspaper cover-to-cover and then planning what he would cook for dinner. He ended his days with prayers every night before bed. I know God has made a special place in heaven where he is unburdened of his earthly illness, but Lord he is surely missed down here!
May God hold you in his loving arms until we all meet again Jose.
Love Joyce
