Jose Esteban Jacquez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Estevan "Jozie" Jacquez, 41 at his residence in Lordsburg, NM. Jose left this world too soon on May 14, 2024.
He was a beloved son, father, grandfather (Papa), brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend. Jose was born on September 11, 1982, in Deming, New Mexico, to parents Joe and Elsa Jacquez and was raised in Lordsburg. He was a 2001 class graduate of Lordsburg High School. He has held many jobs including working in the mines, truck driving, and construction. He was always the life of the party and always had a huge smile on his face and had many friends. He was a very charismatic person who was always willing to help out. The most selfless caring person someone can meet. He loved hanging out with his friends, playing washers (huachas), darts, skateboarding, and hitting his golf balls. His greatest joy in life was the birth of his granddaughter Rubi. He cherished every moment spent with her and his loved ones, especially his mother, kids, and nieces.
Jose is survived by his mother, Elsa Jacquez, his lifelong partner Julie Jimenez, daughters Jaycee Jacquez, and Gigi Ramirez, one son Zeke Jacquez. Two sisters Miriam (Daniel) Jacquez, and Jeanette Jacquez. Nieces, Vivianna, Aubree, Natalia, and Ilyana. His greatest treasure was granddaughter Rubi Jacquez Scott. He had many aunts, cousins, and friends. He will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his father Joe Jacquez, paternal Grandmother Guadalupe Briseno, Tio Santiago Briseno, and Tio Jenaro "JJ" Jacquez.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10 – 11 am followed by the Holy Rosary at 11 am with Maria Roybal reciting at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Lordsburg, NM. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 with Father Okonkwo officiating. The interment will follow the mass, where he will be laid to rest at Shakespeare Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vincent Barrio, Chris Alvarez, Chris Depaoli, Jesus Sifuentes, Jaime Sifuentes, David Morales, Edward Saenz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Jacquez, Geraldo Saenz, Lenny Jacquez, Aaron Jacquez, Caesar Jacquez.
