Jose Enrique Mendez

Jose Enriquez Mendez, 63, of Chicago, IL passed away on May 3, 2023. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on April 9, 1960. Jose was a true warrior and survivor in his children's eyes! A man who absolutely fought hard and never gave up. His work ethic did not go unnoticed as a man who enjoyed providing for his family. As soon as he went into remission he was right back at work. Jose enjoyed watching all types of food network shows and videos of food reviews for restaurants. During his free time, he loved listening to old school music and watching old school Italian mafia movies and soccer games. He was a devoted family man, selfless and loving father, grandfather and friend to all who crossed his path. His endless love will be greatly missed by all family and friends.
Jose is survived by his devoted wife Esther Avila; Father: Jorge Enrique Mendez; Dearest children: Jose (Brooke) Mendez. Luis (Shannon Mulcahy) Mendez, Christian Mendez, Nallely Gonzalez and Melvin Quezada; Adored granddaughter: Emma Quezada; Siblings Alex Mendez, Teresa Mendez, Jackie Neira and Lupe Lopez; Tio Luis Mendez and Señora Yolanda Torres, Along with many loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Sara Ruiz.
