Jose Carlos Miranda

Jose Carlos Miranda, 28, Shelbyville, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at U. of L. Health Shelbyville. A native of Bakersfield, CA, he was the son of Maria Martinez and Carlos Miranda. He was a laborer by profession and had previously worked at Ficosa in Simpsonville and Alvardo's Drywall in Shelbyville among other places. In his leisure time, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, reading and spending quality time with his nieces, nephews and other family members.

One son, Isaac Carlos Miranda, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Maria G. Martinez of Shelbyville; his father, Carlos Miranda; his sister, Brenda Garcia of Shelbyville; three brothers, Benjamin Martinez of Shelbyville and Francisco Martinez and Salvador Martinez, both of Mexico and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Webb Funeral Home. Services will be conducted from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday by Pastor Carlor Gomez. Burial will follow on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Grove Hill Cemetery.
